A spontaneous day trip to Perth Zoo yesterday, a lovely warm and sunny late autumn day was a great time to visit the zoo to sketch the animals. I spent about 4 1/2 hours wandering around sketching at random (it costs $33 to get in so had to make the most of time).
There’s lots of activity at the old Princess Margaret Hospital for children site…demolition is well underway, lots of big machinery and a big crane dismantling the buildings, a steady stream of trucks arriving to transport the rubble away. I wonder how and when they will remove the big chimney…
A walk along and sketch at North Cottesloe Beach a few days ago, lovely autumn day, with the sun lower in the sky the day light is softer this time of year, gives the beach a different feel…
