The iconic Crawley Edge Boatshed along Mounts Bay Road (just up from UWA) sketched about noon today. Constructed in the 1930’s I think this must be the most photographed building in Perth…There’s always a stream of people walking along the boardwalk to have their picture taken or to take a selfie, loads of wedding photos here on the weekends. But I don’t think that I’ve ever seen a boat inside the boathouse!

Train Spotting in Perth….
With a bit of spare time this afternoon I decided to go train spotting…..at the W.A. Rail Transport Museum in Bassendean. Here are a couple of engines sketches and some photos inside the carriages ….
Vic Park Arts Centre – Open Day
The Vic Park Arts Centre (Victoria Park, Perth) had an open morning today and the Urban Sketchers Perth were invited along…..It’s a lovely old weatherboard building (formerly a house) with lots of creative and colourful sculptures and lovely gardens. I started by sketching inside one of the rooms, then moved out into the garden at the back, could have spent the whole day sketching here….a lovely location.
